Eligibility Guide

The following criteria are generally required to be eligible for the scheme. Criteria can change — always confirm the latest rules on the official portal.

  • Woman who is the head of the family (family / ration card holder)
  • Age 21 years or above
  • Annual family income up to ₹2,50,000 (₹2.5 lakh)
  • Landholding within the notified limit (up to 5 acres of wet land or 10 acres of dry land)
  • Only one eligible woman per family / household
  • Family is not an income-tax payer / GST holder (as per notified exclusions)
  • Family does not own a four-wheeler (other than tractor / taxi as notified)

Eligibility is decided by the government as per the official scheme rules and exclusion criteria.

How to Apply

  1. Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme
  2. Keep your Aadhaar, family card, bank passbook and EB connection number ready
  3. Apply online at the official KMUT portal (kmut.tn.gov.in) — register with your name, date of birth and mobile number
  4. Or apply offline at your nearest e-Sevai centre or the ration-shop registration camp
  5. Log in and fill the application form with your Aadhaar, ration card and EB connection details
  6. Enter your bank details exactly as printed in your passbook for DBT
  7. Upload the required documents and submit the application
  8. Note your application / acknowledgement number and track the status online

Payment Status Guide

Eligible beneficiaries receive the monthly benefit (₹1,000) directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT. Here is how you can generally check your payment / installment status:

  1. Open the official scheme portal and go to the beneficiary / status section.
  2. Log in or enter your application / registration number as prompted.
  3. View your latest installment status and payment history.
  4. You can also check credits in your bank passbook or bank app / SMS.

  • If your application needs correction, follow the official grievance / re-submission process.
